| Hemoencephalography (HEG) is a form of Neurofeedback that focuses on intentionally increasing cerebral blood flow to specified brain modules. For instance, the working memory module is located in the left side in the frontal area whereas the face recognition area is in the right temporal lobe. Our vascular circulatory system brings oxygen and nutrients to our brain in the amounts needed and at the PH required for efficient functioning. Our brain then allots more of the supplied oxygen and nutrients to areas that are in current use. The rest of the brain appears to be supplied at a maintenance level. Used (venous) blood’s temperature rises and it changes color. Blood flow cools the brain and probably prevents overheating action molecules then can be located by higher temperature and oxygen density readings than surrounding tissue. |
